/summarize/filesummarizeClick Add to Discord and authorize the bot for the server you want to catch up on. It works in any text channel the moment it joins, with no configuration required. The bot only ever reads channels it already has permission to see.
Open the channel you want to summarize and type /summarize. There is nothing to type after it: an interactive wizard walks you through each choice, starting with whether to summarize this channel, another one, or every channel you have access to at once.
Choose how far back to look, from the last hour up to the last 30 days, the same window on every plan. What your plan sets is how many messages one summary reads. A one-hour window is perfect for a quick check-in, while a 7- or 30-day window rebuilds everything you missed over a long weekend or a vacation. SummaryBot reads only the messages in that range and writes the recap from what people actually said.
The summary comes back as the key discussions, decisions, and action items from that window. Every point carries a jump link to the original message, so one click takes you to the full context. From there you can export the recap as Markdown or PDF, or push any extracted tasks to Trello or Notion.
